Islam, The Pure Truth.: Slavery now and in the past
The word slavery has been prostituted quite badly today. In the past, slavery did not mean u were shackled and slept with the dogs. It meant equal treatment but as a punishment you were taken as POW. Today’s human rights are in fact much lesser than in the past. ’slaves’ today don’t get the same…
No matter what the difference between slavery today and slavery in the past yesterday was, it doesn’t change the fact that the slave was the sole property and financial asset of the owner(s) or master(s). Any religion at all which so much as permits such an idea to be translated into action.. Well, it would be safe to say that it shouldn’t be considered a humane religion.
I mean, you’re actually putting a price on a human life. Again, like I discussed last time, this isn’t indentureship we’re talking about where there is a contract. Straightforward, it’s a price for a human life which is “supposedly” sacred.
What’s next, stoning to death for adultery?
Oh wai-
